VFW Post 8098 Cardiff Memorial. Its post has met since 1952 — Egg Hbr Twp, NJ. The charter came in the years after the Second World War and Korea, and the comrades who stayed treated the monthly meeting as a standing promise: show up, look after one another, and leave the town a little better.
People point to the post for the Memorial Day observance and for the quieter help that never makes a program — Egg Hbr Twp. The comrades would rather be useful than famous, which is why the hall still smells like coffee on meeting night.
Meetings are the third Wednesday at 6:30 PM, at the hall — Egg Hbr Twp. This page is a sample so neighbors can see the shape of the work. The group itself has not claimed the page, so the stories here are an illustration, written in the voice the post might use.
