A few of the things the post keeps on the calendar — Chicago, IL. These write-ups are sample stories, in the voice the post might use.
| Veteran support | Veterans | VFW Post 2978 Logan Avondale. Each year the post sets aside time for local veterans: a ride, a meal, or a quiet check-in after a hard week — Chicago, IL. |
| Honor detail | Veterans | When a local veteran is laid to rest, Post 2978 sends an honor detail with the flag and a few comrades who know the ceremony — Chicago, IL. |
