VFW Post #1322 — Van Buren, AR. Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States Post 1322, meeting — Van Buren, AR.
- VFW Post #1322
- Van Buren, AR
In 1929 a handful of veterans chartered Post 1322 — Van Buren, AR. From that first meeting the post grew into a hall that still marks the year with a memorial service, a community project, and a table full of people who know one another’s stories.
The work is ordinary and steady. A flag detail at a funeral. A winter drive that fills a corner of the hall with gifts. A scholarship evening where the comrades hand an envelope to a student and then go back to the coffee. None of it is loud. All of it is the point of the charter.
The meeting line says the third Wednesday at 6:30 PM, which is the rhythm the directory lists. Come for the business, stay for the people. The portraits and the posts here are sample material, standing in until the post writes its own — Van Buren, AR.

Notes from the first meeting
VFW Post 1322. The year opens the usual way: a short meeting, a full pot of coffee, and a list of local families the post already knows. The comrades voted to keep the winter gift drive on the calendar and to pass the word person to person — Van Buren, AR. - Apr 9, 2026
Showing up for the winter gift drive — Van Buren
By spring the hall had the winter gift drive underway. Nothing about it was complicated. The Post 1322 set a date, split the jobs, and showed up. A few neighbors who are not members came for the afternoon and stayed to ask about the next meeting — Van Buren. - Aug 21, 2026
What the notebook says so far
Late summer the post looked back at the notebook. The honor detail had been out more than once, the community table had fed a crowded room, and the officers reminded everyone that the next business meeting is the third Wednesday at 6:30 PM. This note is a sample of how the post might tell that year — Van Buren, AR.
