VFW Post 10262 Greater Plover, the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States Post 10262 — Plover, WI. The post dates to 1950, when veterans home from the Second World War and Korea wanted a room of their own and a way to keep serving after the uniform came off.

By spring the hall had a Saturday of hall repairs underway. Nothing about it was complicated. The Post 10262 set a date, split the jobs, and showed up. A few neighbors who are not members came for the afternoon and stayed to ask about the next meeting — Plover.

Late summer the post looked back at the notebook.
