American Legion Post 98 Coral Gables, the American Legion Post 98 — Coral Gables, FL. The post dates to 1931, when veterans home from the World Wars wanted a room of their own and a way to keep serving after the uniform came off.
People point to the post for the Memorial Day observance and for the quieter help that never makes a program — Coral Gables. The Legionnaires would rather be useful than famous, which is why the hall still smells like coffee on meeting night.
