American Legion Post 346 The Cherokee Village
Legion Post #346 — Cherokee Vlg, AR. Service and a meeting hall — Cherokee Vlg.
- Legion Post #346
- Cherokee Vlg, AR
In 1924 a handful of veterans chartered Post 346 — Cherokee Vlg, AR. From that first meeting the post grew into a hall that still marks the year with a memorial service, a community project, and a table full of people who know one another’s stories.
The work is ordinary and steady. A flag detail at a funeral. A winter drive that fills a corner of the hall with gifts. A scholarship evening where the Legionnaires hand an envelope to a student and then go back to the coffee. None of it is loud. All of it is the point of the charter.
The regular meeting is the first Thursday at 7:00 PM. Anyone planning to visit should confirm the night before they come, because a funeral detail or a weather delay can move it. Between meetings the Legionnaires stay in touch the old way: at the hall, and through the officers listed on this sample site — Cherokee Vlg, AR.

Notes from the first meeting
American Legion Post 346 The Cherokee Village. The year opens the usual way: a short meeting, a full pot of coffee, and a list of local families the post already knows. The Legionnaires voted to keep a Saturday of hall repairs on the calendar and to pass the word person to person — Cherokee Vlg, AR. - Apr 9, 2026
Showing up for a Saturday of hall repairs — Cherokee Vlg
By spring the hall had a Saturday of hall repairs underway. Nothing about it was complicated. The Post 346 set a date, split the jobs, and showed up. A few neighbors who are not members came for the afternoon and stayed to ask about the next meeting — Cherokee Vlg. - Aug 21, 2026
What the notebook says so far
Late summer the post looked back at the notebook. The honor detail had been out more than once, the community table had fed a crowded room, and the officers reminded everyone that the next business meeting is the first Thursday at 7:00 PM. This note is a sample of how the post might tell that year — Cherokee Vlg, AR.
