A few of the things the post keeps on the calendar — Burke, SD. These write-ups are sample stories, in the voice the post might use.
| Scholarship evening | Community | Each spring the post awards a small scholarship and invites the family to the hall — Burke, SD. |
| Veteran support | Veterans | American Legion Post 28 James Marsh. Each year the post sets aside time for local veterans: a ride, a meal, or a quiet check-in after a hard week — Burke, SD. |
| Memorial observance | Veterans | The post leads a short observance each Memorial Day and again near Veterans Day — Burke, SD. |
