American Legion Post 271 A A Lejeune Jr-N J Boudreaux. Its post has met since 1949 — Kaplan, LA. By spring the hall had the spring scholarship underway. Nothing about it was complicated. The Post 271 set a date, split the jobs, and showed up. A few neighbors who are not members came for the afternoon and stayed to ask about the next meeting — Kaplan.
