- Colorado Springs, CO
- 3RD Saturday OF MONTH, 9:00 AM
Pike's Peak #29. Its detachment has met since 1990 — Colorado Springs, CO. The charter came in the years after Vietnam and the years that followed, and the members who stayed treated the monthly meeting as a standing promise: show up, look after one another, and leave the town a little better.
Over the years the detachment has taken on the jobs a town actually asks for: rides to a clinic, a meal after a funeral, help with a ramp, a speaker for a school program. The members keep a notebook of what got done and what is still open, and they read it aloud before the meeting adjourns.
Meetings are 3RD Saturday OF MONTH, 9:00 AM, at the hall — Colorado Springs. This page is a sample so neighbors can see the shape of the work. The group itself has not claimed the page, so the stories here are an illustration, written in the voice the detachment might use.

Notes from the first meeting
Pike's Peak #29. The year opens the usual way: a short meeting, a full pot of coffee, and a list of local families the detachment already knows. The members voted to keep the Memorial Day wreath on the calendar and to pass the word person to person — Colorado Springs, CO.

What the notebook says so far
Late summer the detachment looked back at the notebook. This note is a sample of how the detachment might tell that year — Colorado Springs, CO.
