Veteran support

The veteran support work is not a single event. It is the habit of noticing. Someone in the post hears that a local veteran is stuck at home, and the comrades find a ride to an appointment or a hot meal that week — Wilmington, IL.

The Post 5422 keeps the help practical. No speeches, and no public list of who was helped. The point is that a veteran can ask the post and get an answer from people who have worn the same uniform — Wilmington, IL.
